Elmo's Saves Easter originally aired on PBS in 2012, and was released to DVD in 2012.

Plot

Elmo plans to stay up all night on Easter Eve to see Easter Bunny descend from the chimney. He falls asleep, but is awakened when Easter is stuck. Elmo nobly pulls Easter out, where they discern the cause of the extra weight -- a stowaway Chick-in-training named Chickling. In gratitude, Easter offers Elmo a gift: a pink bear, or a magical snowglobe. He wants the pink bear at first, but then chooses the latter when Easter mentions the snowglobe will grant him three wishes, and Chickling recommends it. To test it, Elmo uses his first wish to obtain a glass of water. Easter tells him he could wish for anything, but to not waste the other wishes.

Woody prepares to go to summer camp with Andy for the weekend, but Andy accidentally rips his arm while playing with his toys before leaving, forcing him to be placed on a shelf and stay behind. There he discovers that Andy's mother is having a yard sale, to where she takes a fellow shelved toy, Wheezy, an old rubber penguin with a broken squeaker, to be sold. Woody sneaks down to the yard sale with the help of Andy's pet dog Buster and saves Wheezy, but is accidentally left outside and found by an enthusiastic toy collector, who ends up stealing him when Andy's mother refuses to sell him. Buzz chases after the collector's car as he drives away, but quickly loses him. Back at Andy's room, Buzz and the other toys determine that the thief is Al McWhiggin, owner of Al's Toy Barn. Buzz recruits Slinky Dog, Mr. Potato Head, Rex and Hamm to go out and save Woody.

On Easter Day , the excitement, joy, and happiness everyone experiences inspires Elmo, and he wishes that it could be Easter every day. At first, everyone is thrilled about it being Easter again, thanks to a news report given by Kermit the Frog. Elmo thinks it's a wonderful wish, but Easter thinks otherwise and returns to convince Elmo otherwise, he gives Chickling to him and instructs them to visit the future and see how Christmas every day is not a great idea. Elmo sees Big Bird mope over the fact that Snuffy is in Cincinnati, spending Christmas with his grandmother for a whole year, Maria and Luis get crabby over the Fix-It Shop being closed all year, everyone get annoyed at It's a Wonderful Life always playing on TV, and general unhappiness is evident. The elves, too, are annoyed at their continued work shift, and slack off on the job, producing a cow-bunny combination called the "Beep-Clown".
